Data Analyst
What we're looking for
We're looking for our second Data Analyst to help support both our Rust game team and our finance team. Rust is already one of the most popular games in the world, played by millions each year, but we want to use data to make it better yet and we need help to analyse the right data to make that happen.
Help us improve our games. We want people who are going to help us improve Rust by gathering the right data, in the right way, and asking us the questions we need to answer (or haven't even considered yet) that help us make informed decisions.
Like what? How is our latest weapon or vehicle or other feature performing? What's underutilised or overutilised? How does that compare to what we thought would happen? What are the true pain points for players we need to address? How does that relate to player numbers onboarding and leaving Rust? What does the data show about a specific marketing campaign? How did our latest sale perform against historical trends? How and especially why are our DLCs and skins performing? Stuff like that.
Work with others. This will involve working closely with our development, marketing, business and finance teams and requires a close understanding of what our player community thinks about and how they act in our games.
A new way for us. We already gather evidence and it's a core part of how we've built Rust, but we haven't historically had a structured data analysis approach, even while it's become more and more common in games like ours. You'll be playing an important role in helping us do a better job in the future.
